milk and honey is a collection of poetry and prose about survival. It is about the experience of violence, abuse, love, loss, and femininity. It is split into four chapters, and each chapter serves a different purpose, deals with a different pain, heals a different heartache. milk and honey takes readers through a journey of the most bitter moments in life and finds sweetness in them because there is sweetness everywhere if you are just willing to look. Review: This book was honestly beautiful and everything I was hoping it would be. I’m not a huge poetry fan but I really connected to many of the poems in Milk and Honey. I read the whole book in one sitting because I was just devouring it. I’m definitely going to keep a look out for more work by Rupi Kaur in the future.
I don’t have a long review for this one because I feel like there’s nothing I can say to really explain how much this book really resonated with me, and how much I think it will resonate with others.
