Bookish Apps That I Use

Hey everyone! I’ve seen this post going around on WordPress, and I thought that it was a good way to get the word out about bookish apps, and also a way to shamelessly plug my social media accounts 😛

I know that this one is the most obvious one of them all. I joined Goodreads after my mom told me about it back in 2011, and I started really using it in 2014. I love being able to keep track of the books I read, the pages read, etc.

Add me on Goodreads here! 🙂

Another obvious one, but I love the Kindle App.

I just started being active on Twitter this year, and I love it so much. The book community is so lovely over there and I love the support.

Because I live in Pennsylvania I’m able to get a library card to the Free Library of Philadelphia. Having this library card allows me to read free Kindle books and listen to free audiobooks. Believe me when I say, it’s lit.

I access the books through the Overdrive App, which is linked up with my Amazon account. If I am reading an ebook, I am loaned the book through Amazon. If I am listening to an audiobook it’s downloaded right through the app and I can listen.

I have a Pinterest board for books and authors. I pin book lists and also post some of my blog posts over there.

Those are the bookish apps that I use! Do you use any of these apps? Let me know in the comments.

Happy Reading, Emily x

Another app to see if your library has is called “hoopla.” it is similar to Overdrive. I use both, since it widens my possible selection. Highly recommend seeing if it is available if you enjoy reading digitally.

Great apps! I’m not on Pinterest but I’m on everything else, including Overdrive. I use its Libby app to download books. I’m on Twitter and WordPress the most, but I go on Goodreads to get info about books I’m thinking about reading. Have a happy reading week!
